SMCT series

The SMCT open cooling tower features a highly efficient counterflow modular design, ensuring superior performance and reliability. This series has been awarded CTI heat transfer performance certification from the United States, demonstrating its excellence in cooling efficiency.

Under standard operating conditions, the water flow capacity ranges from 50 to 3,400 tons per hour, making it suitable for various industrial applications. The standard configuration includes Z-700 (G235) hot-dip galvanized steel sheet casing, an aviation-grade aluminum alloy ventilation fan, and a patented fire-resistant filler, ensuring durability and safety.

Designed for central air conditioning in large commercial buildings, process water cooling in industrial plants, and large data centers, the SMCT series provides an optimal cooling solution with enhanced energy efficiency.

Key Features of the SMCT Series:

      • High Efficiency: Optimized design ensures maximum thermal performance with reduced operational costs.

      • Durable Construction: Made from corrosion-resistant materials for long-term reliability.

      • Water & Energy Savings: Designed to enhance Water Usage Effectiveness (WUE) and Power Usage Effectiveness (PUE).

      • Easy Maintenance: Modular components and accessible design simplify servicing and upkeep.

    Principle of operation

The hot water (marked in red) from the user system enters the internal water distribution pipeline of the cooling tower through the side inlet. It is then evenly sprayed over the cooling tower packing using large-diameter, anti-clogging nozzles.

Simultaneously, the axial flow fan at the top of the tower draws in dry, cool air from the surroundings. This air enters through the lower air intake grille and moves upward through the packing layer, where it undergoes counterflow heat exchange with the descending water. As a result, a portion of the water evaporates, absorbing heat and cooling the remaining water.

The humid, warm air is then expelled by the axial flow fan at the top, effectively removing heat from the system. The cooled water (marked in blue) collects in the water tray at the bottom of the tower and is recirculated back to the user system through the outlet, ensuring continuous cooling operation.
